Basic Beading

Skill Level: Beginner

Description: Learn how to lay out a design, string and crimp with a professional look. You will also learn the basic simple drop style earring. Class time allows you to make a couple projects so keep this in mind when selecting your beads.

Materials:

• Necklace/Bracelet
  • clasp
  • 2 soldered rings (these are included in an "S" clasp)
  • twist crimps (the $4.50 bag)
  • silver wire guards (optional)
  • beading wire (Beadalon 7 strand .015 diameter works well)
  • a strand or two of beads of your choice
  • spacers or small silver beads for accent (optional)
  • pen & paper
  • ruler
  • spring clips (available @ Sparkle)
  • mat or hand towel to work on.
• Earrings
  • Sterling or 14k gold filled ear wires
  • headpins
  • small to medium size beads of your choice
• Tools
  • Chain nose pliers
  • round nose pliers
  • wire cutters
